Our Strong Tower
As the Covid-19 coronavirus spreads across the globe, it is easy to become fearful. All of last week, when we were not sure what the government here in the Dominican Republic was going to do with regards to the virus, it was easy for me to become really distracted and disoriented. Added to the fact that Canada was calling home all her citizens before closing all borders, I was left in an emotional bind.
I knew Luis and I would stay here where we have been called to and perhaps, we are here specifically for such a time as this. However, while there was so much going on and before the Dominican Republic's government decided to take the step to have everyone in self-isolation and impose a nightly curfew, it was easy to become fearful of the what-if's.
It was then I realized my mistake. I was looking all around me and not focusing on what I needed to focus on which was the Word of God. Once, I turned my eyes back onto Jesus, I was calm again. The number of virus cases in this small country has risen each day but as for Luis and I, we will continue to keep trusting in our God, our Strong Tower, He who never sleeps or slumbers and who will never abandon us.
I invite you to do the same.
I will start podcasting again and you will be able to find the episodes here. My plan is to upload an episode every week and I will try my hardest to do so. If you like what you hear, if it encourages you, please share it with others and follow my blog and podcast.
You can click on the link at the top right-hand corner of the blog to get the RSS feed or go to the Podcast page to listen to the new episodes as they are uploaded, or you can also listen to them here.
God bless and stay safe!
